OVERVIEW

The Efforts of
the Nakao Laboratory
in the ASPIRE Project
Creation of an Inclusive Next-Generation
Cyber Infrastructure

The Nakao Laboratory at the School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo, proposed and was selected for the research project "Inclusive Creation of Next-Generation Cyber Infrastructure" under the 2023 research area "Information Communication Technologies Contributing to the Development of Next-Generation Infrastructure for a Digital Society" within ASPIRE initiative. This research project will be conducted in collaboration with Professor Matti Latva-aho of the Faculty of Electrical and Information Engineering at the University of Oulu, Finland, who also serves as the Director of the 6G Flagship program.

Research objectives:Construction of a robust information
and communication infrastructure Realization of a 'Superintelligent Network' through the fusion of communication and computing and the softwareization of both wired and wireless systems.

The main pillars of the ASPIRE project undertaken by the Nakao Laboratory

中尾研究室が手がける取り組みの柱
Top Reseacher Circle
Formation of a Daily and Transparent Top Researcher Circle Unconstrained by Physical Location.
Living Lab/Testbed
Establishment of a Living Lab Model for Next-Generation Cyber Infrastructure that is Practically Usable by Both Providers and Users of Advanced Technology.
Industry-Academia-Government Collaboration
Establishment of a flagship organization for the development of next-generation cyber infrastructure that will serve as the lifeline in a cyber-physical fusion society, through the promotion of further international collaboration and industry-academia-government cooperation.
