We Participated in CEATEC 2025 “5G/6G Special Day II,” Held at Makuhari Messe on October 15–16, 2025
Session 2 – Lecture: “Promoting Industrial DX through 5G/Local 5G”
The session opened with remarks from Takehiro Nakamura, Project Leader of XGMF ODAIBA IX Core, explaining that real-world implementation cases and the latest trends in 5G/Local 5G would be introduced by numerous users. Following this, 13 speakers presented on the expansion and adoption of 5G/Local 5G. Researchers from our lab also delivered a lecture.
Session 4 – Lecture & Panel Discussion: “Beyond 5G (6G) Global Trend”
Our lab’s lead researcher participated as a panelist alongside Rajesh Kumar Pathak (Bharat 6G Alliance), Hyeon Woo Lee (DanKook University, Korea), Jaydee Griffith (ATIS), Colin Willcock (6G-IA), Tony Quek (SUTD), and Takehiro Nakamura. The discussion focused on accelerating international R&D and standardization for Beyond 5G (6G), exploring global trends, forecasts, and Japan’s role and expectations.
Session 5 – Lecture & Panel Discussion: “6G and AI”
This session featured six speakers discussing AI utilization in 6G design and optimization, autonomous network control, and advanced services. Speakers included Yuwakawa (SoftBank), Isobe (NTT DOCOMO), Kuchizu (Rakuten Mobile), Yamamoto (KDDI Research), Noda (NVIDIA), and our lab’s lead researcher.
Moderated by our lab’s representative, the panel titled “The Business Potential of [Telecom × AI]” explored technologies, commercialization strategies, and collaborations between domestic carriers and AI semiconductor vendors.
The XGMF AI WG session on “Telecom × AI” was a full house, featuring four major carriers and NVIDIA, and concluded with great success.
